HOUSE | TECH HOUSE
Good things come to those who wait. Like Apollo Breach, the newly-formed DJ and production duo from Dubai making blistering house and electronic music.
Comprised of Dean Curtis and Kirk Mannion, the pair have enough shared history they might as well be brothers.
Friends since school days in south London, they both went to the Academy of Contemporary Music College in Guildford and made the move to Dubai over a decade ago.
Since then, they’ve become two of the region’s most influential DJs. Dean was head-hunted to become Head of Music for Dance FM, the leading dance music station, while Kirk went onto create his own influential DJ agency.
And now, years after meeting and bonding over Garage, House, DnB and Hip Hop, the duo are finally working together as a production powerhouse.
Welcome, then, to Apollo Breach.
Focussing on upfront club tracks spanning house and tech-house, Apollo Breach have been hard at work fine-tuning their first releases.
And with time on their side thanks to the recent lockdown, they’ve bounced ideas back and forth, creating dance music heaters aimed at some of the scene’s highest-profile labels.
Then again, with years of professional studio experience between them not to mention hundreds of high-profile DJ sets, it’s no surprise they’ve hit it off in the studio. And they’ll be showcasing their tracks in their weekly Breached Radio sessions on Mixcloud, Apple and Google podcasts, alongside the latest house and tech-house sounds.
Apollo Breach might have been a long time coming, but trust us - it’s worth the wait.
